Anyone familiar with E-mu sound cards?

E-Mu makes high end cards - prosumer and up. There's no reason to get one for playback alone, but they are very good when creating music etc.

No my brother is into creating music and likes to pick up new toys, he tells me the good the bad and the indifferent, from what he has experienced their products are good but not for the price range.
