Gonna have my hands on a bottle of 151, and was just wondering if anyone's famliliar with it.

i.e. what's a good chaser for it, what's good to mix with it.

Do y'all just treat it as regular rum? Not sure here....LMK what you think!

most times that I know, people take it as a shot :Q

Otherwise, its great as a mixer in tropical type drinks, with fruit juices and stuff.

I knew a girl that could do shot after shot of that stuff and not flinch, didn't even use a chaser. My jaw dropped when I saw that.

I think I had some one night.
Can't really remember.

It's a little strong to do shots.
Unless you enjoy the feeling of your throat being on fire.
It's not as bad as everclear shots though.

My drink of choice is rum and coke. So that's what I would use it for.
 
Make a Surfer on Acid shot......151, Malibu Rum, Jager, pineapple juice...YUM!

By the way, you dont need a chaser with this.

DON'T BURP AFTER TAKING IT!

The burn of a 151 burp is worse then a burn of a 151 shot.


Stuff is high enough proof to light a shot of it on fire though..

151 really is too high to do shots off.. safer to mix it.

3/4 shot glass filled with Amarrato (sp?)
1/4 filled with 151.
1 Glass filled with beer

Light shot glass on fire. When ready, drop into beer and chug the whole thing down in one gulp.

As long as you don't get your BAC into danger territory it's not particularly different than drinking any other alcohol.

You do have to be very careful though, as it is a tad on the strong side.

ah 151. by ol' buddy. We used to do shots of this in h.s. Strong stuff. pretty much anything is a chaser. You can use tequila as a chaser if you want.

We caught our counter on fire doing this, we didn't have any 151 so we were using regular rum & Everclear to approximate it.

Got a puddle of everclear on the counter, a stray spark, & we had 12" blue flames coming off our counter.

Was just about to type the same thing. VERY good shot. Oh DO NOT fill the pint glass FULL or your gonna make one hell of a mess. Fill it 3/4 at most with beer. The shot glass and its contents will displace the beer cause it overflow and possibly burn your dumb arse if you fill the glass full of beer then drop it in.
