Anyone excited for OnePlus?

Got my wife's OPO today. Even the packaging is pretty premium. Crazy this thing only cost $350. Shipping was super fast too. I was going to hold off for the Nexus 6 for my phone but I think I want a OPO now. Do they send more invites to people that have already purchased one?

Yea it took like 2-3 months for me to get mine and I gave them away to people on the spreadsheet.

I got my OnePlus One yesterday. First impressions:

- it's HUGE - can't really use it one hand...
- the back is really nice to grip and makes soft sounds when the phone is put on any surface
- the battery seems really good, on par with my M8 or even better 🙂
- UI is a bit choppy compared to the M8
- screen is really nice

Will use it for a few days as my primary phone (have an HTC One M8) to compare.

Was at the OPO and CM fan gathering in SF last night. A few takeaways:

- CM12S is set for ~90 days after L release (clock starts ticking when code hits AOSP!)

- CM12S is shooting for feature parity, so just that means migrating every checkbox option in CM11 over. I really hope they're serious about this because CM9 lost CM7 features because it was such a big porting work, and even CM10 lost CM9 features, and CM11 lost CM10 features. Hope they really port everything over. Clearly decision will need to be made about the new quick toggles.

Also with the $650 NExus 6 I think I gambled right when I broke my first OPO. Wasn't sure what I should have done--fall back on the N5 and wait for the N6 or buy a second OPO, but it seems like the second OPO option was definitely cheaper. Pretty happy here.

Plus, given CM's commitment, I'm hoping this goes well.

I'm still deciding to pay for the nexus 6 or wait for droid turbo. It's also going to be available on Verizon now so I won't need to leave but I'll loose unlimited data if I upgrade. I guess I'll wait and see and hope that the n6 works on metro if I do pre-order it.

Yea but the $650 for 32 gb Google has turned into Apple. I was debating just going with a moto x if I'm gonna leave Verizon anyway.

How so? the 16GB 6+ is $749. The Nexus 6 has twice as much storage, a bigger screen in a smaller package, and is $100 less.

Edit: Looks like the N6 is a hair taller than the 6+, at least going by the specs provided by Moto.

Because it's quite expensive for a nexus phone..didn't even know Apple still had 16gb models. Meaning the 64gb model will be either $50 more or a bit more. Oh well I guess I'll have to get it since I need a new phone.

It actually does not look that much bigger. Screw it I'm gonna buy it. Was dissatisfied with the price seeing how everyone was talking about nexus phones being cheaper but looks like no corners cut here.

one plus just got a ton of breathing room seeing the N6 price.

They should replace the screens with better quality ones to get rid of the yellow band problem and charge 50-100 more and I'll buy an opo. Otherwise I'm not dealing with them again.

iPhone 6+ looks hideous next to Nexus 6. All that bezel real estate makes it look so outdated.

And what's crazy is that the 6+ does not have a small display, but next to the Nexus 6 it looks like it does!

Yeah I had an OPO but all the bugs made me sell it off quick. My smartphone is my phone, my GPS, my email, etc. I want a device that runs well and looks nice, and the OPO did not run well.

Well the N6 price ruined it for me, going OPO. Hope I can get another invite in a month and half before we make the switch to TMO.

I'll be in the market for another OPO soon. I saw that Lollipop will offer many of the features that make me love my Moto X so now I can go back with the OPO.

Keep in mind things like Active Display aren't going to work on the OPO. I mean, they can work but you need an AMOLED display to really take advantage, it would be quite the battery hog on an LCD display.
