Here are some pics of my new phone arrived today. Happy to report I have no yellow banding issues! Popped SIM in, connected to Fido in Canada without issue. Initial thoughts are man I love IPS Screens. (Coming from a S4 GPE, I hated AMOLED). Screen is very clear and bright. Pops out at you. Build quality is great. Phone is super fast. Love the back texture of the phone. (I always order the cheap "sandpaper" cases like this off ebay). First few pictures with camera look as good to me as they did with my S4. So far, very happy with the phone.

You only notice the yellow banding on a white background. Download a screentester and check for dead pixels too. But yea this phone is a great deal and it's very well built.

I now have to order a case and a screen protector. (looking for tempered glass).

I got my phone yesterday, love it. If there is a yellow tint at the bottom it is so faint that I have a hard time perceiving it. Volumes are loud in every use case so far: speakerphone phone calls, earpiece phone calls, podcast playback using speaker, and YouTube playback using speaker.

When I logged into my Google account almost all the apps I wanted autoinstalled. I had a saved Nova Launcher backup on my Google Drive and I restored that so the vast majority of my UI settings were made for me automatically. This was almost as easy as setting up a new iPhone from an iCloud backup. Impressed.

The phone itself is gorgeous, I am very pleased with my purchase so far. My wife now wants a OPO, she also will be coming from a custom Moto X. :)
Do let me know if the yellow goes away with some sunlight/UV. Some people claim that's all it is, the glue curing or whatever, but others claim its a permanent issue. The OnePlus forums are a mess, and there's like 10 threads a day about the Yellow screen issue.

Meanwhile, I find the touchscreen issues to be a bigger showstopper as it prevents me from typing fast.

Yea that sounds like a serious issue. I would not be able to use the phone with that happening. I've only ever noticed it on slow phones.

I must be a slow-ass typer as I have not had any issue so far. But I use the Google Keyboard so maybe that's the differentiator.

I would need to see a video to see what that's about. It sounds like from reading that it has trouble with multi touch on the key pad.

What do you think about that case? I'm in the market myself now.
Pretty minimal. I'm waiting for the Diztronic case though:

I only bought this case because I dropped my phone last weekend. It chipped the corner of my screen protector. Was too drunk that night and I remember placing that OPO order when drunk too at 4am in Vegas :D

My only complaint is that the phone is still difficult to hold if you need to switch to landscape to take a photo. Man I always feel like I'm gonna drop it. The case is a bit slippery. That's why I intend on getting a TPU case in the end.

it's available in the UK. looks like close to a month ship time according to the amazon review O_O

From Reddit: "I am in the US and they ship with royal Mail priority. I ordered on Thursday of Last week and got it on Thursday of this week. It does have rounded corners which fit it quite well with very little room for errors when applying."

Not bad?

What's really screwing me up right now is the buttons including the home button.
it's hard to pinpoint where the buttons are. I'm so used to the note 3 buttons protruding more prominently that it's hard to feel where the buttons are. They're also on a lower location vs other phones so that takes getting used to.

Physical home button vs capacitive. this one may take longer. I keep on going lower than I should when I type. Every time i hit the space button it keeps on touching the home so it takes me back to the home screen. I think I really miss the physical home button.

Some good things ? GPS locks on quick and solid. Doesn't burn through battery like the note 3 would when I have the GPS running with Waze on.
I also had trouble using Waze on the note 3 where it wouldn't move on the map along with my physical movement in the car unless I had navigation running.
With the One Plus it follows me fine on the map even if i'm not using the Navigation feature and just have the maps running.

Also battery life much better.

Unplugged around 12am last night watching TV on the TWC App for about 30-45 minutes.
2 exchange accounts (work)
1 gmail account (personal)
Wifi in the office from 7:35am - 5pm.
Watched several shows.
Downloaded a show on Ttorrent
and still about 39% left @ 10:02pm. I'm not going to charge it tonight and see if it lasts me til tomorrow when I get into the office. While doing my normal routine.

Thanks I appreciate it. Did you get the 64gb model? I wish it came with a white back plate.

I think everyone who buys one gets invites but I don't think they get them right away.
