Giggity - USPS's website doesn't show any updates after leaving their CA facility at 10:59PM Monday night but now my expected delivery date has been updated as "Wednesday, August 13."

Guess this means I need to be around the house...wish I knew when they delivered as I get most of my stuff from UPS (Amazon).
 
Well I got my RMA link for a refund. Leaving town Friday so I'll have to pack the phone and take it with me. It seems like if you don't mention what is wrong and just demand a refund they are willing to do so.

Who knows how long this will take now but the response again was something cut and paste mentioning shipping the device myself to a US warehouse.

You will have to sign for the package. It took two days for me to receive mine after status on usps website changed.

Not sure if I will want to buy another opo. I'll hang around their forums and see if anything changes in the up coming months. I figure by the time I get my refund nexus 6 will be on its way out.

Mine delivered around 11am, but nobody was home to sign for it so I had to go to the post office and pick it up after work.

So last night I got an incremental OTA that requires 30O to be installed already. I couldn't find much about what it did aside from something about the radio and the lock screen glitch that resulted from the initial 30O update. Phone is running great at this time.

I seem to have the 25R update. Is the 30O update still rolling out to people? Or should I have definitely gotten it by now?

The zip of both updates are available on multiple sites and can be flashed via stock recovery or TWRP. I wasn't getting the OTA so I did the main update last night via recovery and then immediately got the OTA for the minor update.

Overall I *think* the capacitive buttons are a tiny bit brighter, but it's still not much different.

- the phone feels like the same size as my Note 3, but has a slightly smaller screen. With a phone 8 months newer, it would have been nice to see some improvement here (not quite G3 level, but maybe something in between).
+ I'm glad there are capacitive buttons. On a smartphone where you use it in portrait 90% of the time (and the remaining time is watching videos where buttons aren't really used), I like having buttons always available in the same position and using the bottom bezel, which normally would be useless space. I can live with OSB (got used to it with my G2), but all things being equal, I do prefer physical or capacitive buttons.

The cut and paste email says they will issue full refund after the item is picked up. But I think they mean after it arrives at the warehouse. I'm paying to ship it back to the California warehouse so I'm not sure if I will get the shipping amount too which I paid the first time around.
 
I don't really like the autobrightness - it's regularly too low for my tastes. So I ended up installing Lux which was a bit too bright actually - so while Lux on default settings is fine on my Note 3, I'm running -15% on Lux with the OPO.

The autobrightness actually feels too bright to me, but that's because on the G3 it was ridiculously low.

I wish I could trade my black sandstone cover for someone's white silk cover...

I wonder when they will send the invites for buying the phone. Or maybe I won't get any since I'm returning it. Either way I never received any. Figured I can keep one for myself and give two away.

But with my luck I would end up getting another yellow one.

I just don't want a refurb. I'll roll the dice on a new one.
All my accessories are waiting to be used. Temepered protector and bumper.

Lol there is a guy on xda got a used one repacked as brand new. Had photos of the guy's family and boot leg movies on there too.
 
Eh WTF? I just saw a package on my desk and thought it was some DP-DVI adapters I was waiting for at work.

When I opened the package it was my OPO...holy crap this thing got here quick (and completely unexpected.)

I was planning to go to the gym today - that's not happening now...lol

Compared to my N4 and N5 its brighter than the N4 dimmer than the N5. I actually like the brightness curve. This is one of the few phones that I've gotten a good autobrightness curve with.

I find the low brightness dynamic range a bit weird though. There's a jump at 7%.
