Really? The pay at FedEx is significantly higher ($1-$3 more/hr)... but it is also something like 15 miles further away... I just applied for that.

$8.50 here for UPS ... $9.50 OR $11.50 for FedEx.... I am not willing to put another 40 miles a day for the extra money though to work at FedEx.

Which is entirely too much in my opinion. I don't want to support organized crime either. Unions=gay.

My cousin worked for UPS for a year and he quit because they were busting his chops and he had school to worry about. He liked the pay and benefits. They were a lot better then the jobs that he could get with his education and skill.

Once I invent teleportation I'll put everyone out of business.

I visited the UPS facility today... I saw someone kick a package down some stairs :Q hehehe I have an interview tomorrow... I don't think I will get the job just because all of my other experience is office type work.

I don't believe UPS kicks boxes or anything like that, but in my personal experience FedEx shipped items arrive in better shape. Also they like to move pagackages instead of letting it sit there and say "not scheduled for delivery" when I track it online.

Spaced - UPS was my first ever job. I had zero work experience before that. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work this job, or experience. It's physically demanding and fast paced but if you like that you'll love this job

I worked at ups. I did external support. The job was insanely easy. Just sort of dick around 3/4 of the time, come in to work a couple times a week and collect a pay check. Ended up quiting because they were only giving me $14/hr, which is pretty assy.

my brother used to, he worked really odd hours (i think it was 11pm-7am), but since it was summer he could sleep all day. he seemed to like it, he worked at the warehouse sorting facility place so he got some exercise, and considering the hours, the pay was pretty good, he said.

Tripple where...? in khazikstan? really though, minimum wage isn't an accurate guage of what you can live on. Try paying for a car + insurance with a paycheck from mc'ds. It's ludicrous. Anyway, I didn't have benefits at the time, so it was kind of a bad deal.

The pay is the bad news. They are only offering 17.5 hours per week for starters.... not exactly the type of hours I was hoping for. But there is a LOT of potential to move on up....

I agree on your latter statements, but minimum wage is like $5.35 in NY. It's $6.75 here in Oregon.

Where would you be working? I worked as an international package auditor so I was right out in the wharehouse. It was an alrigh tpart time job. Kind of annoying at times but whatever as you said it paid well.
