I applied to their program and got this e-mail:
Hmm, sounds like a fuun job..they'll be paying me to eat and all. However driving 100-150 miles a day seems a bit extreme, especially since it doesn't look like they'll reimburse me for gas. And plus will they be enforcing my 4-6 month stay, since I'll be leaving for college in about 3 months?
I hear you want to be a Mystery Guest. Let me tell you a little bit about
our Mystery Guest Position.
We're going to be hiring very soon in the San Jose/South Bay area. The
position pays $15.00 per hour. The job may require you to be available to
drive at least 100 to 150 miles each day that you are scheduled to work.
This position is part time. You may average approximately 5 to 12 hours a
week and may work at least one or two 5 to 6 hour shifts, along with a few
shorter ones. During these shifts, you will be evaluation at least 2 to 5
restaurants. This position is also temporary, lasting approximately 4 to 6
months. We do reimburse you for the food we ask you to buy and if you are
hired, you are paid for the time you leave your home for your reports until
you return home.
If you are hired, the paid training will be on July 10th and 11th from
about 10:00 AM to around 5pm on the 10th, and either 8am to noon or noon to
4pm on the 11th, depending on availability.
Now, let's hear about you.
Can you clear your calendar for both of these dates?
Do you have a computer with Internet access?
Are you available for a variety of different shifts throughout the week?
Do you eat at fast food restaurants regularly?
Can you eat and drink all of Jack's food, including caffeinated
beverages, meat, lots of deep fried products and our yummy ice cream
shakes?
If you answered yes to ALL of these questions, then we want to talk to you!
Please email me as soon as possible, please include your phone number, the
best time to call.
Please also list scheduling availibilty, if you were to be hired. I hope
to hear from you soon.
