Anyone ever went to the new morongo casino in CA??

My wife checked it out last week while I was interviewing with them, she really liked it, said it was very nice and clean and you could actually breathe inside the casino. The outside looks very appealing.

cool! I will probably try this..

It is very nice but crowded. The buffet at Pechanga is better. They have poker but I don't go in there. The place looks like a mini Palms hotel.

so the casino itself is better than pechanga?? I could care less about the buffet

is pechanga the benchmark casino? just curious. i used to go there all the time, even before the big renovation. it was alright, but after turning 21, i find pala (a few exits down from pechanga on the 76) and even pauma valley (smaller but not as crowded, also on the 76) to be more accomodating, nicer, and not as packed. finding an open table at pechanga was a chore. i did go there a couple times for bingo though, and that wasnt that bad.

I thought pechanga was one of the nicer resort style casinos in CA...

Morongo is new, so I guess its supposed to be nicer

ok, just curious. i havent been to pechanga in probably almost a year now, but i know its one of the most popular ones for both san diego and orange county/l.a. residents. i think they just have a good publicity machine behind them and thats why im always hearing about it. of course, with pechanga, pala, pauma valley, viejas, barona, sycuan, golden acorn, valley view, harrah's all at the most an hours drive away... its easy to have a different favorite.

I hope its better than the old morongo. That place sucked.

It sure is. The old casino was just a big smoky dump. The casino of course has no low llimit table games on weekends, mosly saw $15 blackjack games. But it's new and has that great dark casino feel.

Morongo and Pechanga used to be 18 and up but then sometime after 2001 they switched to 21. I guess they wanted alcohol.
