Anyone ever used trillian here?

I'm just concerned i just got a trojan virus and tring to figure where it came from, has anyone used this program or am the first ?

Trillian is good, but I'm not an IM whore so it didnt suit me 🙂

Used it for 6 months without problems though - seems safe to me 🙂

I don't use it because it displays all of it's users as away with the addition of "Trillian user... http://www.trillian.cc". I don't want to use software that does anything that I don't tell it to do. If I'm not away, I'm not away.

The latest version is nice, with encrypted AIM capabilities. It's bad that it doesn't save my buddy lists back to AOL servers.

I currently use Trillian myself, and to say it's a nice IM client is a bit of an understatement. It's not nessisarily right for everyone, but if you use multiple services, it definately comes in handy. And BTW, I can assure you that if you downloaded Trillian from the proper site(Download.com), it isn't packing a trojan.

Same here, it used 4x the amount of memory aim needed and though I have enough to spare, it really wasn't worth the switch.

the latest version of trillian is suppose to fix the idle issues... i have yet to try, .70 didn't work right for me, and my system is partially hosed so nothing really works right. but i don't think your virus is from trillian.. unless you downloaded from a random site, or autoaccepted a virus...

seriously for those that didn't like it before, try the new version. it's a LOT better. i didn't like it before either, but when 0.70 came out i was converted. love at second sight, so to speak. and i'm pretty sure 0.71 fixes the idle issue.
