We've had 2 Uniden 900mhz phones for 2 years now, the battery life is getting to be less and less, but the phone quality is amazing. I think we paid like 20 bucks a phone for them too.

It must vary on models...

I have had the Tru8865-2 5.8Ghz DSS system for almost a year with my Vonage service and I LOVE it. It has a ton of features, awesome range, and it's much better than any of the Pansonic or Vtech's I checked out at the time....

It's also VERY highly reviewed...

:)

cheapo brands are only worth bothering with if under 20 dollars. then its so cheap its worth it for the battery alone. spending 50+ i'd go panasonic or something.

Uniden isn't a "cheap-o" brand....

Have you actually seen any of the high end Uniden's?

I'll bet a high percentage boards in many brands of phones are uniden. They are a very large company and most of what they sell gets rebranded. I know fifteen years ago, every CB radio in existence had uniden boards in them no matter what the brand name said.

I would like to see them make motherboards.

My uniden has served me well. Bought it at UWisc tech store as a refurb in 98 and they did a warranty service on it once... has worked great since then.

Exactly. In a business environment, you will see either a Bell, AT&T or Uniden phone. You will not see a single Panasonic unit. Again, yes in a consumer market, Uniden is not well known, but in the business environment Uniden rules.
