Anyone ever use Fry's extented service plan on pc components?

nope.
I think i bought one extended warranty. I forget what it was for.. something that i knew i would break.
 

yep...bought a SOYO dragon lite mother board about a year and half ago...

it went out last month...brought it in with the receipt for the service plan and they gave me a brand new SOYO KT600 board...since the new board was the same price as the plan, it was a wash....

from now only, i am only getting extended warranties on laptops only...

My guess is that they don't carry the same motherboard that they did 18 months ago.

My guess is that they don't carry the same motherboard that they did 18 months ago.

K, so how do they decide on which one to give? I bought it on a hard drive, so I don't think that will be the case for me. The sales guy said it covered bad sectors and that they really don't even check them. In store replacment so I got it, but now im 2nd guessing it.

My guess would be that you would receive either:

whatever drive they have that is closest to the size of the drive that you originally purchased

or

whatever drive is available at the same price that you purchased your original drive
