Anyone ever use an FM adaptor for their car for things like discmans?

fm. i was not impressed. only use if your desperate.

then again i'm less then impressed with tape adaptors too.

Well I would just replace the stereo but on some new cars the radio is the control center for the entire car and computer, so replacing that would screw me out of a lot of features.

What is an FM adaptor?

I used to use a tape adaptor for my Archos Jukebox, the quality wasn't too bad but then again you have at least 4 variables so it's difficult to judge quality:

- Quality of speakers
- Quality of head unit
- Quality of adaptor
- Quality of input device

Your stereo controls other electronics in the car? weird!....I mean my dads stereo is linked into a secondary display on the top of the dash and if you changed it that would stop functioning but that's about it.

I have seen that most modern stereos you can have troubles wiring in things like satellite navigation though...
