Anyone ever use an acupuncturist?

If I was in China I would probably trust going to one. I don't want someone with a certificate from acupuncturetraining.com to stick needles in me.

But I have had severe nerve pain in my leg for a while now. Medication treats it fine... but the side effects are outweighing the benefits it seems. As long as I stay on the medicine I feel no pain. These are not pain killers (they don't work) but stuff like Lyrica which I had to stop taking. The new stuff I am taking is bad.. better than lyrica though.

Surgery is an option, but the neurologist said that is not always effective. They will simply cut the nerve... but many times it grows back. There is no other cure at the moment.

What would one look for when seeking an acupuncturist? Any questions I should ask?

yes and its all bullshit.

the whole blocked energy scam is just that just a scam. you believe it will work and it does. when i was in massage school we had "extensive" training on meridans and the flow of energy and even then i thought it was bullshit.

And citrix, what were you trying to get out of an acupuncturist?

Worked for me. I had a sprained ankle and was on crutches and my mom took me to one, i rolled my eyes and called bullshit.

I walked out after the procedure with no pain. I'm a believer.

I don't think it will cure all illnesses (my friend tried it for his acid reflux but it didn't work), but I think a lot of it does work. Plus it's cheap.
