Anyone ever use a muffin/egg toaster?

Im thinking about getting this since I rent out a room and dont have much access to the kitchen.

Toaster for my sandwiches and I can cook eggs too. It looks awesome and didnt know these even exist. People on amazon seem to like it..

Had one, worked great for about a year, then the egg cooker quit. Lasted about another week as a toaster and that proceeded to quit. Bought a $10 toaster and a $4 mini skillet for eggs instead.

OH, forgot to mention, the nonstick coating started coming off the toaster's egg pan the second or third time I washed it too.... It is a novel idea, just poorly executed in my experience. It WAS a timesaver, though, on those mornings when I was running short on time, since you could set it up and walk off, and when you come back 5 minutes later, you'd have both cooked. And the warmer tray for frozen sausage with the thing worked well, too. The thing just didn't hold up.

I just checked your link and discovered that the one you posted is different than the one I had. I had the "Back to Basics" brand one which is linked farther down the page you posted... they look sort of the same, but this one you linked to is a lot more expensive, maybe it's made better?

Ok, took a closer look, and they are the same exact product except the one in the OP is fancier looking with stainless steel trim. I stand by my original statements in this case. Would not bother with this product.

Yea I read that a lot of people had the same problems that you had with your Back to Basics. I was thinking that since this was a different brand that it was better made..

look at the controls on them.... they're the same exact machine mechanically, I think. Switches and knobs are all alike and in the same place.

LOL, nope. I just haz the long hair because I play in a "slutbanging hair metal" tribute band. Definitely a guy here.
