anyone ever try whale meat?

how was it? just curious. any other forbidden food would be interesting, too (gorilla, dolphin, etc)
 
I pride myself on having eaten many different kinds of animals, but never whale unfortunately. Someday I hope to try it though, along with some dolphin and clubbed baby seal.
 
Never tried whale, but you can get it in Japan. I have eaten Sea turtle in the Cayman Islands. It tastes like beef, not steak, but more like the meat you put in a stew.
 
No. I don't like killing/eating endangeres species. But I would like to hunt whalehunters into extinction. In fact, I'd like to hunt and kill approximately 40% of the total world population.

There's probably at least one species of whale that isn't endangered no?






Also, I'd like to try it, at least once. Perhaps some day I'll visit Norway, Barrow AK, or Japan and have some 🙂
 
I've had shark's fin and I must say it's DAMN good. It tastes amazingly uber good and the feel of it in the mouth is like heaven.

Minke whales are not endangered. A smaller whale (if 30+ feet is small) that wasn't as hunted as much back in the days since it was more profitable to hunt the bigger ones. Currently one of the most abundant whales, especially their Southern population.

I've tried whale meat before, it was in a nabe and sashimi, pretty good. Fried whale meat gets too hard though, my parents ate it all the time when they were growing up.
