Moving to school soon, trying to figure out if I should get a normal matress or an air bed. I like the air bed idea because it won't take anything to store at the end of the school year. I'm not talking about an air matress from walmart, I mean an actual air bed.

Airbeds suck, they get holes very easily and are nearly impossible to repair properly. Spend the extra money and get a normal mattress, its worth it.

Get it

If you don't like it, you at least have an air bed

life is about working for things you may or may not like.

What happened? Did you grab the wrong Planeteer power ring that day?

I have an airbed from Aerobed (queen size) for guests and err.. emergencies, and it's awesome.
It inflates to equivalent of a very firm matress. It has posturepedic shape on top, so that your back won't ache.
It has a special material on top and a cover on top of that, so that the heat exchange is minimal, and you don't freeze on it.
It inflates in seconds, and deflates even faster.
Overall, money extremeley well spent.

Don't go for cheap knock-offs. Get the real deal if you want it.

Full size aerobed for 2 years in college. Loved it.
Much better than the stock twin mattress the school supplies.

Wrong!

I have a Select Comfort Air mattress and have had it for going on 9 years now without it ever once having a leaking issue.

Very comfortable bed.

I had sex on my a number of times without any issues

It's just like any other bed but has two air chambers with foam padding on top.

If you get a decent one, they aren't that bad. They don't compare to a real bed, especially one with a foam topper though.
