Anyone ever seen a TVR in the US?

They're making some amazing cars under their new Russian ownership. Take a look at their site. Every model (there are 6) go zero to sixty in less than 5 seconds. One does it in 3.1. That's pretty impressive.

Anyone ever seen one in the US? Impossible to get here?

well they all look very very similar, and have similar engines

and no i've never seen one. and it'd be expensive to import one... it'd have to pass emissions and safety. it has no ABS or air bags.

I've seen one racing at Pukekohe here in New Zealand, was a TVR Tuscan. Very nice looking car, but in particular VERY nice sounding car. Was racing in the Super GT bracket against some very tough V8s and Porsches and was by far the best sounding car on the track.

I'm pretty sure I've seen someone tooling around in an old TVR in Santa Monica a few times.

The owner of a restaraunt in my town has one. It's a Tuscan, really really nice car.

I'll try and go take a pic this week.

I hear the Russian is aiming for reliability; I wonder how it will pan out.

Pre 2001 or even 2002 Tuscans have a 1/3 chance of an engine rebuild EVERY year...f0ck that! Engine rebuild ~ £10k. They aren't too pricey to buy but the on going costs kills it.
