I have a diNovo Edge that won't charge, in an attempt to "troubleshoot" it I took the keys off to see if I could get to what's under neath (waste of time) I've never seen keys that go on like these, and I think getting them back on will pretty much be impossible for me. I wasted a good hour trying to figure out how exactly one would get them back on, and successfully reattached zero of them. I know it can be done as they're definitely not broke, it's just my stupidity getting in the way of things. I called and got an RMA today, I didn't tell the dude about the lack of keys as I thought that would be a red flag to reject the RMA. After getting on the phone I gave putting the keys back on one last shot and made no progress. What are the odds if I send back the KB + a Ziplock baggie full of the keys they'd still honor my RMA? Taking the keys off weren't the cause of the issue but I'm not sure how it will look to them.

BTW: does anyone here own this KB and have experience taking off/putting back on the keys? I've never seen something that should be so simple, be so damn hard :(

Send it and see what happens. Worst case you are SOL, best case they fix everything.

Whenever I've dealt with Logitech RMA's, I have told them the serial number on my product and they have shipped a new one out no questions. I never had to send back the broken item.

Same here. Never had to send back my keyboard. Matter of fact it's still sitting here unused because it eats through a set of batteries in a week...

Said I couldn't do this without the receipt from from it. Maybe they changed their policy or maybe he just didn't know what he was talking about. Any ways I'm going to send it back with the bag o keys and see what happens. And I learned my lesson, don't try to take the keys off a Edge ha. I seriously have never seen such a crappy, hard to figure out key mount system ever.

Hm, one of my G7 batteries is toast, I'm going to have to get in touch with them.

This never would have happened with a quality keyboard like they used to make in the old days.

Your post made me LOL. I can just see myself doing the same thing. "I can fix this!" ...and then I fuck it up even more.

Just send them your bag-o-keys and see what happens.

I got an RMA through them, they said they'd send out a replacement, they never did.

Yeah, the logitech keyboards are really not that great once you get under the hood. They look nice and some people swear by the extra buttons, but if you're a real keyboard whore like me, *shudder*.

as far as typing goes I LOVE IT. I've owned almost every keyboard imaginable and the diNovo Edge is the best when it comes to typing, short soft keystrokes with wonderful feedback. I also love the fact it's bluetooth and has a charging stand to put it on. But then again I'm not a huge fan of the oldschool clicky IBM boards too much *shrug*

Last time I had a Logitech keyboard problem, they sent me a new keyboard and mouse combo without me having to send anything in. Logitech is awesome in my book.
