Anyone ever remove any skin tags by themselves?

My armpit has started hurting recently and I discovered I had 2 of these there. One is kind of large and gets irritated when I put on deoderant and when I sweat.

I don't have time to go to a doctor so I was thinking about numbing it with an ice cube, then cutting them off with scissors.

Anyone know if this works long term?

I wouldn't use scissors, use wire cutters, nail clippers, or something else that will allow you to cut it off close.

I wouldn't even bother with the ice, it's not going to make that big of a difference.

My wire cutters aren't exactly that clean. Soak the edges in alcohol or hydrogen peroxide? How bad do they bleed?

I get those on the rare occasion. I just use my little pair of scissors on my small swiss army knife to clip them off. Dip the scissors in alcohol and snip. Put a little cotton it afterwards for the few drops of blood. I have no clue why they grow. I looked into it once and supposedly there is no explanation; but they tend to grow in places that get more friction or rubbing on the body.

The one I had removed caused a lot of blood flow. It was located in the same area as yours. I had a doctor do it since they wanted to check and see if it was cancerous.

I really don't have time. Couldn't I like cauterize it Rambo style or something to stop the blood flow?

My daughter had one of those, once. It was right where her bra strap sat, so after a while it just fell off.

They are harmless, no? Just not pleasing to look out.
