I am about to order an Apple MagSafe 60W Adapter for my MacBook. Does it usually take them the full 7-10 Business days to ship it? I want to order it tonight and hopefully have it in by Thursday. Are there any other good reputable online stores that sell these that ship quicker than apple?

I remember getting refurbed iPod Shuffles off the Apple Store online. Ordered on a Tuesday night shipped Wednesday afternoon and arrived Thursday morning.
Didn't pay for overnight shipping.

Of course with shipping it's always YMMV.

My experience same as Parasitic's, above. Requested warranty replacement and product arrived via courier within 48 hours. This was directly from Apple, ordered online at apple.ca

Seconded. I love going to the Apple store, even if I'm not buying anything.

The last time I purchased something was an iPod skin about a year ago. I joined the ridiculously long checkout line, but a guy with a mobile checkout device showed up, swiped my credit card, gave me a bill and let me skip the line. I was impressed.

Yeah closest Apple store is about an 2 hours away. So I went ahead and ordered it online, to be safe and get it soon threw 2 day shipping on it. Proceeded with the order. And then once it was finalized I went to the order status page and it says it will ship by Sep 19 - Sep 24 and be delivered by Sep 21 - Sep 26... Dang hopefully it always says that and really leaves the factory tomorrow. Anyone ever had it say it was gonna take 2 weeks to ship?

Since the MagSafe adapter isn't discounted, why not just pop to a local electronics outlet for one?

I RMA'd an ipod shuffle and they sent me the replacement shuffle with a mailer for the broken one within 2 days.

Some Dell chargers are $90. That said, $79 for a product made of consummate quality and luster is a true bargain.

Last time I ordered something from Apple I cancelled after almost a 3 week wait. It wasn't even a new release. IMHO, Apple service has slid a long way. This is coming from someone who has had six of them.

It is not of "consummate quality and luster". I'm hoping that this is sarcasm in disguise.
The Macbook MagSafe adapter is a POS. Complete POS. The stupid cable frays easily near the base, the PC connector light doesn't always light up, charging would stop once awhile, AND it catches on fire (although rare). Plus it's $79? Ridiculous.

I'm not buying anymore Apple computers after this Macbook. If you think I'm joking about the horror of the adapter google it.

That just sounds awesome. I've never seen or heard of such a gizmo. Of course this makes me like Apple a little more.
