I was only offered 10k and it was for a real wedding. I turned it down.

I have a neighbor that got a mail-order bride from the Phillipines. They seem pretty happy together.

Don't do it unless you're prepared to stay with it forever. Most other cultures don't accept our throw-away marriages, so any bride you get will likely fight you tooth and nail if you try to dump her. And if she can prove you broke the law...not worth the risk, IMO.

I was made a similar offer--by my parents. My cut would have been about $40k, not sure what theirs would have been as the pimps of the situation. What was even more messed up was they brought this up more than once even after I told them no several times and told them it was illegal. They even brought it up in front of my girlfriend. Course, she didn't understand what they were saying as they were speaking in another language, but I translated for her later. I could go on and on about scams they tried to use me for and what's messed up is they would get mad at me for not helping them out.

too much people posting without experience in marriage, let along a non-american, yet along being a non-VIRGIN.

spam offers aside.

$10K is laughable. Cost me more than that and my chick is legitimate.

Its a huge pain to deal with the INS, even when you're legit. Even if you do all the paperwork yourself you'll still spend a few grand on the forms you have to submit. Plus you need to have an interview together - I dont think you'd want to mess that up.

Just get a fat girlfriend instead.
