Anyone ever mount their mobo on the wall?

lol, my dad was telling me about some guy he knows who works with these other dudes that mount everything on the wall in their room. imagine that, a mobo hanging on the side of you wall, attached to a working computer ;)

Why would you....?

never have to worry about case temperature....

on the other hand, rug-rats could (prove to) be a real problem....

I have the mobo in the wall :) it was old DFI socket 7, I put in the frame and hang in the wall, look cool !!!!

yeah get some spacers, and some dry wall screws and mount the board right into the wall! :) you'd have to figure out something so you can secure the agp/pci/isa slot cards, but other than that it would work good and look cool ;) I should start up a tech site that sells plans on how to do that :)

some people have had multiple mainboard crackracks hanging from #8 threaded rods. i think i saw a pic somewhere of 8 dually mainboard each with 2 celeron 566's and a stick of 64 mb ram.

We threw a bunch of darts at it.

Only the one that went around the board and in the mounting holes stuck.

The ones that hit the board just bounced off.

Back when I had a small case I had my hard drives screwed to the underside of my desk top. Case seemed really roomy after that, and was cooler too. :)
