It?s a bit childish. Maybe it?s okay to do in little desk jobs, but its hardly what you do for kicks in a professional environment.

and what stuffed suit crap would that be in your "professional environment" ?
bet you have people lined up to work for that place jeez.......... (we do :))
productivity must be booming.

we have people that look forward to work everyday.
can't say that about most jobs................

just so you know here in the "little desk jobs" we turn out some of the most high tech software anywere. Ill be willing to bet that our entry level people make more than the median household income for the nation...

and oh yeah we having fun doing it...........

enjoy the "professional environment" while we keep playing NERF, HALO, golf and getting paid...................

As a manager and owner of a business. i have to say that letting people have fun for a little bit of the day is great. It keeps them happy and they are more willing to work hard when needed.

WE would have FPS tourny's. we would also play darts etc I was thinking of getting a ping pong table heh.

these would be a LOT of fun. when i was working i would have had some in my office.

create a work environment that is fun and people will enjoy, creativity and production will oooozz out everywhere.

that's a successful business model for young professionals these days.......

It would. But there is a time and a place. I just don?t have the time to play around in my job, I have too much work on my plate.

thats to bad. i found out early in my career that keeping the workers happy (goof off time, free pop, milk, etc) would make up for the times i have to be an asshole. there were a few times i would get on them and ask them to work late into the night on weekends etc. i never heard anyone bitch.

i also found wasting 20 min twice a day we would get more done then if i was a asshole. If someone has a problem and was talking to another about it i had no trouble letting them talk. 90% of the time they would bust ass when everything was good to make up for it.

that being said. if someone was taking advantage of me i had no problem fireing them and being an ass to everyone if needed. but i rarely had to.

Me and a couple of my friends got into modding nerf guns last year. It was a lot of fun. We didn't mod them cosmetically, just for more power.

Here are some pics:

Pic1 - They came out with so much force the dart would blow up sometimes :p

Pic2 There is the unmodified and modified versions

Our 2nd project - This is what we did over the summer. We couldn't fire it anywhere around here, cause in Milwaukee County they are considered guns... so we had to fire it at a farm about 40 minutes out from the city that someone I knew owned

The dart guns will shot 100ft easy now. If you shoot someone up close with them, they leave a welt ;)

Back in high school we had Nerf Wars, where you were only safe while on school grounds. After that, game on. People getting shot and eliminated at work, at home, anywhere!

We'd open up the guns, and add dozens of strong rubber bands to certain spots, chop off unncessary plastic, and change airflow to make the various Nerf projectiles come out at scary fast speeds.

It could be possible but I guarantee you the "ammo" would be un-usable. :Q

I used to pick up blind rivot shafts and shoot them out of the dust gun. The shop had a two stage Quincy compressor set at 200-235 (on/off). After a half a dozen or so firings and not hearing them land anywhere it was obvious. They were stuck in the rafters of the building! :Q Moral of the story is never underestimate the power of compressed air. YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT KID!

Dont you have anything better to do at work?

Oh no having fun at work every now and again! The humanity!

There is fun now and again, and then there is buying a Nerf gun to go around shooting people. :disgust:

Maybe if you had a nerf gun and shot some people you'd have some creative energy to put some reviews on your site!
