Anyone ever make any VCDs?

Hmm.. no work. I get an address / read error at some hex address every time I try to start the cutting on any file that I try.

Any other suggestions?

Thats ok, I get that too, just x out of it and you are set.

Next Q then...

Goes TMPGEnc also convert avi files to mpg files so I can cut them? Or do I have to use a different program for that?

Yes it does. If you're coverting Divx then make sure you have the Divx3.11 codec - TMEGEnc doesn't detect the Divx4.0 codec...

Can I specify file size during conversion so I wont have to split it later or will it just uncompress it to a 1.5 gig file for me to deal with later?

You can tinker with the settings to make the file smaller, but if you're making a Divx to VCD disc you'll want to use the preset for MPG1 video...

So yes, you'll end up with a 1.5GB file after the conversion...

You need a program like BBMPEG to split the file TMPGEnc creates. I think there's a link to it from the VCDhelp.com site in the Edit section.
