I just built a machine for a friend using this board from a company named Matsonic.. I had never heard of this company before and was a little leary of not using a name-brand board(ASUS,MSI, etc), but a local shop uses them in their OEMs' and it seems to run pretty darn good. I was just curious if anyone else out there has heard of them or used their boards also. Good/Bad opinions welcome. ;)

It is just one of many (15 I believe) companies that are related to PCChips/ECS/Amptron/etc........

That's the kind of feeling I had.. It resembles the K7S5A with its' DDR and SDR support but with the VIA chipset instead of SIS.

My friend has a Matsonic P200 board that refuses to die.. it works quite well actually, and has a really cool BIOS where you actually use a mouse to navigate.. way cool. :D

Exactly, Matsonic are part of the Elitegroup empire, Amptron are a reseller business that carries (and sometimes rebadges) them too, among others' stuff. That particular board also appears as ECS K7VTA2.
