Am currently in the middle of RMA'ing my speakers. They are popping and crackling alot during music/gaming. Was curious if anyone here has ever had to RMA their speakers?

Regardless I am gonna try a different sound card first as it is gonna suck when I have to cut the power cord from the sub and ship it and the control box out.

I've rmaed, and my buddy has rmaed before too. They have a great RMA process, you should recieve your speakers in 1-2 weeks, a brand spaking new set!

I had a fuse blow in mine. No problems rma'ing the set.
But it sounds like more of a sound card/driver problem. Updated drivers? I've heard the audigy2 drivers work, but I haven't tried em.

They make you cut off the power cord and send that in, along with the control pod.
Turnaround time took awhile because they were backordered.

Too bad my RMA'd replacement set sounded crappier than my originals.
I had one of the earliest batches since I bought it as soon as they became available.

The new set was supposed to fix the "too much bass even on lowest setting" problem.
Guess what, it sucked balls.

I'm not complaining about how it's not as loud as it used to be.
But there's a lot of distortion coming from the sub during times of deep lows at only medium volume.
Seems like they decreased the power output of the amp.

That kind of sucks(the sub being less powered). Do they ship the replacement UPS with tracking? If so how do I go about knowing when they have shipped my new set and to get the tracking. I am using crappy onboard sound so it might be the sound card. I ordered a Acoustic Edge for $22 shipped so I will be trying that before doing any RMA.

BTW why do they have you cut the sub power cable when its still useless without the control box? Also it ain't like it would be hard to fix up another power cable. Also my volume knob gives some when moving around in circles is that normal?

Someone opened up the sub box and saw on the sub "80w" was printed on it or something way below the RMS number Logitech claims it puts out. It was posted here last year when everyone was getting pissed about RMA'ing their 560's

Was this before or after the "fix"?

Logitech's RMA process is excellent. You don't really need to worry about tracking because after about 2 weeks you'll see the box on your doorstep - I couldn't believe how great and simple the process was...it almost made me happy they broke.

anyone know how long warranty the Z560's have on them? Are they just a year or is it 3 year?

Do you need any paper work to do this, or just the control center?

Gooo logitech!

nope, of course i never turn it up more than halfway, so blowing the fuse is not a problem.

need the receipt/invoice with it nad the power cord.

Good thinking, but it's the combination of turning the volume up in s/w (little speaker in the corner) AND turning the control tower up. Learned that when I talked to the rma lady. So keep the s/w volume around halfway and you'll be fine turning up the control tower, even all the way.

Called them. He didnt say I needed to send a receipt or anything in just the control box and power cord. He just asked when I bought them. I don't have a receipt. Did anyone have to send a receipt or proof of purchase in with theirs?

Well I don't have anything like that. I sent my control box in and the cut power cable. He didnt say anything about proof of purchase just asked me when they was bought. Which I said close to a year ago. If they don't send a replacement I will be very P'ed off since they did at least work half way. I know when I cut the power cable off my heart skipped a few beats :D .

How long ago was it since you RMA'ed yours Pilsner maybe they changed their policy?

Yup, they wanted my receipt.

I lost mine but fortunately the company (provantage) I purchased from sent me a copy of the invoice/receipt.

RMA'd it last summer. At that time, it was maybe 10 months old.

all you can do is try and hope for the best! or change the fuse yourself. Of course, you wouldn't get all the free speakers that way.

Do they ship the replacement out Fedex or UPS? Also how do you get the tracking number? Call them or is their a RMA status type deal(didnt see one on their site)?

I had that problem once. Turned out that I didn't plug it in all the way into the sound card.
