I travel a lot for work, and while I don't drink coffee, I think that my friends might enjoy the starbucks coffee they have in the hotel rooms. There are always a couple of free packs of the ground coffee in my hotel room, and I'd like to start bringing it home for friends. I always carry on my luggage. Just wondering if anyone else has tried to bring these on an airplane in their carry-on luggage and had any problem.

I can't seem to find any conclusive answers on google.

Thanks 🙂

What would compel you to even ponder such a question?

Yes, you can bring coffee on airplanes.

His concern is probably that the TSA might want to check it for drugs inside since coffee is used to mask the scent of plant or powder materials.

Yes. That was more of my concern. Just didn't know if they would pull it out of my luggage or give me the full cavity search.

They don't care about drugs. Just weapons and contact cleaner.
