No stye, but I do have a chalazion. It's been there for years, only bothers me when my eyes get dry.

I had a small one last semester that hurt every time I blinked. Sucked.

I did the warm compression thing on it for about 30 minutes or so twice in one day and it went away by the next morning. Just take a wash cloth and soak it in hot water. Compress on the eye and it helps a whole bunch.

I had one I eventually had to have it removed, they gave me a few shots around my eye and made a few cuts and squeezed the junk out of it.

There are TWO different things it could be.

One you can pop, and it will go away immediately and quit hurting.

The other, you can't deal with so easily.

If it hurts, itself, it is the second kind. Use warm compresses and OTC sty medication.

If it doesn't hurt, but irritates the hell out of you eye, and feels like you have an eyelash in there, you can pop it.

my GF had one once under the eyelid. she had some drops for it. I also remember her inverting her eyelid and pushing at it from behind with a q-tip.

I've had them a few times.

The best way to get rid of them is to take a shower as hot as you can stand and then use a wash cloth and wipe the stye lightly while the hot water is running on it.

It might hurt more to "scrub" it but it get rid of it faster than anything else you can do.

roll a gold ring over it a few times a day it will go trust me and my old wives tales (my mother used to do it to us and it did work)

I get every so often. Perfectly harmless. Mine never hurt and were barely noticable. I have sensitive eyes too, get viral infections once a year.

I get them occasionally, I just pull the eyelid as far out as possible and use a (sterilized) needle to pop it.
Then quickly wipe any pus away and flush eye thoroughly with Visine.

I've had chalazions before.

Really irritating.

The first time it was bad enough I had to have some surgery. I've done my part destroying them when they're early since then.
