that is what i found on it, and am assuming its what i have.. I don't havea digicam, but its looks like a really tiny pimple right where the eyelash follicles are. It a fairly noticable pain, it felt like i had a clipped off fingernail inside my eye every time i blinked

anyone else ever experience one of these?? got any tips (the article mentioned a warm compress, any other ideas)

I've had that before, I used to get them every couple months as a kid. Basically, it goes away a couple days after it reaches peak pain levels.

yea..its on the eyelid.... and i have a feeling if i tried popping it, it would be more painful than childbirth, right now it hurts just blinking...and IF it is a stye, the website said not to pop it...

plus, its really really tiny, alot smaller than the illustration on the link above, so it would be difficult

I had one before and believe it or not, I used a needle to poke it and flush out any fluids in there. Smart thing to do? maybe not since one wrong slip and I'd stab my eye out. But i was really careful and made sure I coudln't slip or anything. I got rid of it in the end.

True..but look at it like this. It hurts every time i blink, as if a sharp clipped finger nail is in my eye. Now compound it w/ the fact that when you try to forget about blinking, you blink more... its a downward spiral that doesn't end!!!!...

I used get them ALL THE TIME, but not much lately. It's not like something you can pop... it's just inflammed and hurts. It's not that bad, just an annoyance.

On the inside or the outside? I've gotten one on the inside a few times before, and they usually went away in a few hours if I left them alone.

Sleep has a lot to do with it. Get some sleep, and it'll go away. The warm compress does help.

a warm compress helps. if you don't have a heat pad, you can always boil and egg, wrap it in a clean towel and press that against your eye. eggs hold their heat for quite a while. afterwards, you can either re-boil the egg to heat it up again, or you can just eat the egg.

I had one when I was like 4... don't remember much, except it was pretty bad, like half my eye was black. I had surgery and it got better

My grandmother rubbed raw onion on mine when I was really young to kill bacteria or whatever. God it hurt like hell. You should try it :D

I just got rid of one, I vote leave it alone. It'll go away. I seem to find that mine are also connected to lack of sleep or an increase in stress.
