Anyone ever go to the eye doctor and hear this?

I went to the eye doctor on Monday and found out that my eyes have gotten significantly BETTER since I was in last. Like by one whole diopter in one eye and by a half diopter in the other. I guess that explains a lot of headaches and eye strain that I've been having. My eyes are constantly compensating for lenses that are too strong.

Anyone else experience this?

My prescription has mostly leveled off, it might have been reduced by like .25 in one eye, with the other staying the same. Maybe you're related to wolverine...

maybe they screwed it up last time?

Yes, when I was younger. I wasn't wearing my glasses in the hopes that not wearing them would make me more attractive. Lost my astigmatism and eyes went back to my original prescription.

it is all about the shape of the eye
is your head shape changing?
been sleeping with your head underneath a big heavy thing?

i never heard of it

Only in my dreams. In reality world I am still blind as a bat without corrective lenses. 🙁

Nope. He said it's not that uncommon, expecially for someone as blind as I am. It probably wasn't a sudden change, but happened over a couple years or more. It's been awhile since I got around to getting my eyes checked.

well, they told me one of my eyes got better. when i got my new glasses, i couldn't see out of one eye.... the guy made a mistake, so i went in for a re-do. it actually got worse haha.

Apparently, it's caused by the same changes that make most people need reading glasses when they hit their 40s/50s. I'm in my late 30s. 🙁 On the bright side, he said I'd need reading glasses later than most people.

They look anywhere from grey-green to blue-green depending on what I'm wearing/light conditions.

so green then?

me too. only 1% of the population has green eyes btw. 🙂

AFAIK, my prescription hasn't changed in a decade. That was my last exam, and then I got my next pair of glasses read from that prescription, and have been using those lenses since.
So I suppose they're probably not getting any better.

My mom had blue until she got knocked up with me then they turned green. Based on that, my blue eyes should stay that way.

My left eye is getting worse and my right eye is perfect. So annoying.

Maybe you were just really tired the first time or it was a different room with different lighting or maybe they used different wattage bulbs that made the room brighter.

That would explain the mood swings from Michelle Pfeiffer when her eyes changed back and forth between blue and green. She wasn't possessed, she was just pregnant!

Nope. The doctor didn't say a thing to me about your eyes.
😕

Yep..i've had that happen to me once. I figured the doc i had before her was just old and senile and gave me a stronger perscription. I dunno.

Did you get new contact lenses (Night and Day or O2 Optix) within the last 6-12 months?
Same happened to me after I got these lenses - according to my eye doctor the increase in oxygen getting to the eye causes it. They said they had seen it quite a lot recently.
