anyone ever get relief from allergy shots?

I am having a reaction to my allergy shots (swelling and itching) so my doctor has decreased my the volume of my shots...
 
FYI, I was on my 10th or 11th allergy shot and I had such a terrible reaction that they had to give me megadose shots of epinephrine and prednisone along with several antihistamines and some type of asthma inhaler (and I don't even have asthma).
