Hi,
Im trying to add my wife's name to the deed for our house. I was told I need to use a Quit Claim Deed. My question is, most of the examples show how to transfer ownership from one person to another. I simply need to add her. Do I transfer ownership from myself TO myself and my wife?
Thanks!

Quit claim your house to your wife. That way when you get sued for being unbelieveably stupid they can't take your house away from you.

I had to sign a quit claim to a house last summer, so my aunt could buy my sister and I out of the house we stood to partially inherit.

Yes, I have during a divorce, my ex signed her half of the house to me. You have to pay doc stamps on it, at least you did in FL in 1995.
