Anyone ever download music from Amazon via a giftcard?

So I got my gf a amazon.com gift card for her bday to get some music for the ipod I got her. She entered in the "redeem gift card" and it shows a balance of $25 on her account. But for some reason I can't find out how to use that money as the source of payment for mp3's. It always wants CC info. Has anybody ever done this? I can only get the $25 to show up if she places an item in her shopping cart. Unfortunately, you don't place digital downloads in your shopping cart.

I feel like the clock is blinking 12 and I can't figure out how to change it GAH!

I have done this several times and money has always been automatically pulled from the gift balance without even asking.

From what I remember, I've had to enter CC information, but after a few steps it showed that it was deducting it all from the gift card.

Yeah, it just wants the CC in case your total goes over the gift card. Pointless and stupid if you're not spending more than the giftcard, but that seems to be how they do it there.
