Anyone ever buy a processor from the NewEgg refurbished section and have it not work?

EDIT: Changed the question to be more specific

Processors cannot be Refurb.

It is Returns, Open Boxes, Slightly used, did not O/C, etc.

There is nothing to make work in a processor, if it does not work, do not spend your time here return it immediately.

If they have no return policy on this item, I would not buy it.

How about that... processors are so complicated and yet "either it works or it doesn't."

But they can be not functioning properly right? for example, experiencing system crashes every so often due to a faulty CPU.

This is a little OT, but didn't the original Pentium 1 have a problem where it tried to divide by zero or something?

up for some comments, changed the question to be more appropriate for the asnwers I was looking for

You're taking a chance at buying anything that is refurbished. Personally, I don't care how much of a deal it may be, but again the risk is yours. I would never buy anything, especially electronic that is refurbished. Usually warranty returns that get checked by some idiotic tech that quickly checks that it powers up, and no thorough testing is done. After that, throws it in the bargain bin for some unlucky sap to buy it with little or no warranty.

Refurbished processors aren't really comparable to other refurbished items. Refurbished processors are just returned items. You won't see Newegg selling "repaired" processors...
