Anyone ever been zapped with a tazer?

I tried shocking myself with my dad's about 10 or so years ago. Didn't hurt as much as I thought, although it was just a short shock into my gut. It didn't even feel as bad as touching a couple of wires sticking out of the wall. I recon that's because there's alot of voltage, but not alot of current behind it. Maybe I'll dig it up for you guys and experiment on my friends to find out their reactions.

I've shocked myself (and my brother 😀) many times with my taser. Granted, it's a relatively weak 100kvolt model.

It hurts, but it's not that painful. I've ran 1/4" sparks directly into my fingertips, & put my finger directly between the test probes.

They're a great toy.

Repeated electric shock can alter your brain chemistry, ultimately resulting in brain damage.

I guess this explains some of your posts 😉

I have never been zapped with a tazer... I find that small children generally don't carry them. 🙂

Tazers are such a mood killer. 😉

j/k

<< Anyone? >>

I warned you that if you tried to put your sweaty geeky hands on me again that you were gonna have an electrifying experience so stop whining about it already !! 😀

Tasers work by disturbing the muscles themselves, causing them to contract repeatedly & relatively randomly.

They won't cause brain damage.

My posts are most likely caused by continuous exposure to morons. Gotta love technical support.

Yep. Wasn't nearly as bad as a wall current shock. BTW: We were just playing around, it wasn't an assault or anything 😉

I've shocked myself with a M18 taser. Yes it hurt like nothing else but I was surprised at how quickly I could recover after the initial shock. Also not a very PC method of self defense these days + illegal in many states. Pepper spray is a better option. One thing to keep in mind is that at least 10% of the population is completely immune to it. Police grade sprays 5million shu will put most down for a good 40 minutes.

I have a 60,000volt stun gun, I haven't tried it on myself or anything. But I have touched an electric fence. BZZZT!
