Sure why not. He told me that they just give you raw meat, and you take it to your seat and cook the way you want too. If thats the case, i want to try one out over the weekend

Good stuff. Whenever I go for Korean BBQ, the women working at the restaurant take one look at my cracker ass and assume I can't cook the meat myself and come do it for me.

Ghengis Khan in New Orleans rocks the house. It's the wackiest restaurant ever. Great, homestyle Korean food and the owner plays violin for diners. They have Opera singers on the weekends sometimes too.

Kal-Bi is what you're talking about. That's beef short ribs marinated in soy sauce, garlic, sugar, and other spices. Very good.
If you're into spicy soups, there are many you can try. Soon-dooboo-chigae is a spicy seafood soup with soft tofu. Oo-go-ji-kal-bi-tang is a spicy soup with thin rice noodles and beef short ribs. All good stuff in cold weather
If you bring someone Korean that'll help out alot when ordering. Everything good has plenty of garlic, so remember to pack some gum for later![]()

I dont know any Koreans
I used to date a Korean in high school for a few months, but she was adopted by AMerican parent, so she was totally AMericanized. I prob knew more about Korea than she did.
You wanna come

sure. fly me into Alabama, and i'll buy dinner
just hope that you get a waiter or waitress that speaks decent English (about a 50/50 chance). mention you've never had Korean food before and i'm sure they'll recommend stuff to you.
every meal is served with white rice (sticky kind, like Japanese not Uncle Ben's) and "ban-chan", which are little side dishes like Kim-chee (spicy pickled cabbage), marinated spinach, etc.
