Anyone ever been on Paxil and tried to DISCONTINUE its use?

Due to an unfortunate drunk accident, I lost my new bottle and I don't think they let you get them re-filled that often, so I'm out for a month and the withdrawals have already started. Dizzyness is the worst, I can move my head to look at something and then it takes a second or two for the rest of me to catch up, definitely "swooshy" effect or something.

According to some websites, the brainzaps should start soon. 😕

Good Luck JohnCU

just file a lost prescription. They might flag your account, but you'll still be able to get it refilled. My gf just did this with her b/c.

Umm... i'll ignore that since without Paxil I suffer from anxiety attacks, which, if you've never experienced, are horrible.😕

That stuff messed up my act.
I couldn't get a nut to save my life. I could run it like a champ and when it was payoff time, nothing happened.
I was twice as suicidal after a week or two of that nonsense.
Serzone is where it's at. 🙂

That's more forgivable than chemical treatment for depression, I suppose.

Anxiety can be cured without drugs. Often anxiety problems are the result of a hormone inbalance in the body... usually associated with the thyroid. The thyroid is out of balance because of a lack of some nutrients. For instance, a lack of Iodine will cause these problems. Do you ever put salt on anything?

If you are willing to try it, go to a natural foods store and find a natural iodine supplement. Take some every day for a week or two and see how you feel. It's a lot cheaper, and safer, than Paxil.

be careful you don't go into seratonin shock.

i tried to go off paxil all at once. I spent four days hemmoraging from my nose, projectile vomiting and having convulsions. ended up in the ER.

I was on paxil from age 8 - 16. I'm now 17. I had been taking paxil to help relax me to combat stuttering. Anyways, I stopped taking it last year.

The withdrawl was HORRIBLE. It lasted me about 3 weeks. I spent the first week browsing all sorts of badly designed forums trying to learn as much as I could. I eventually found a reccomendation of pills that worked extremely well for me.
Here it is:
1) All in one vitamin w/ ginseng
2) Fish Oil Concentrate (Omega-3) 1000mg
3) Evening Primrose Oil 500mg

I dont understand why or how that combination worked. But I know that I felt much better only 24 hours after starting them.

I put salt on everything, and I have not heard of this. I do know however that only SSRIs have helped me, which makes me believe that my level of serotonin plays an effect. I will read up on the iodine, though. thanks 🙂

John, if you already salt everything then an iodine deficiency is likely not the root cause of your anxiety. However, keep looking into nutrition. Most of the problems in the body are the result of deficiencies in some area. Fix those deficiencies and the problems go away. Best wishes!
