the star wars galaxies servers are down right now, and im freaking out. Ive been putting ALL of my free time into that game, at least whats left after school and gf. I cant stop playing it. its bad. i think im beyond help. can anyone relate to this? ITS LIKE CRACK!

I was addicted to Diablo2 and Diablo1... I played Diablo1 longer, but I was more into Diablo2, before I sold my account.

Couldn't get enough of either of those games.

I crunched in diablo 2 and made a killing on eBay.

I got so into the struggle of makin money and loving the game trying to find the illest items I started to hear diablo 2 sounds while I was away from the PC... they just kinda echo'd after a 12 hour game. I mean it was SICK. I was sick. I took a long cold shower, sold everything remaining on eBay, traded my top #2 USEast ladder character and hocked that and copped tons of items, broke them up and sold them on eBay. Deleted any remaining accounts, looked at what I lost in the meantime and have never even though about putting the cd-rom back in. I have it on my desk to remind me of the time wasted.

That was after I dropped out of high school. It became a true addiction I think. Since then I cleaned up, went to college and maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA. Do I still slay fools? Hell Jeuhh... counter-strike is fun...with moderation. 1 hour daily for me. Its like therapy. Occasionally if I have extra time, I'll spend 2 hours. But not more than that.

I get bored after a while playing RPG games...only mild case was playing Ragnarok Online for two weeks in the summer before I quit.

Playing a MMORPG is fun, so long as you have the self-control to deal with it. However, if you start pushing the regular aspects of your life away(slipping grades, gaining fat, losing gf, etc) for more game time, then you should take a good look at what you're doing to your life.

Nah. It's perfectly healthy to substitute artificial accomplishments and relationships for real life ones. 😀

when i became a paladin in the order of laurderan i swore an oath to the tribunal to uphold the sancitty of the church of zacriem. i then travled to the west, the pagan lands. i was then unable to return when firey deamons from hell blocked the passage way back to the east. i encountered many great battles during that time. then, these people come and tell me that its time to go to school. i tell them that i attened 20years at the monastary at Quel Thalas, then they said i go to something called a "high school". now im typing this on this glowing box

LOL. The game of Life sucks for me. I'm thinking of rebooting.

I quit playing EQ after several months of effort to spend a few weeks with my GF before I moved 12 hours away. After I moved and we broke up, I had three weeks with nothing to do before starting grad school. I couldn't bring myself to fire up EQ again, so I deleted my account and never looked back.

Now I'm exclusively a console gamer.
