My parents won't touch a computer - never had one and refuse to get one. A few years ago when my father said something about the computer being the devil's invention, I figured this is definitely a losing argument and we haven't discussed computers since.

I'm actually stuck in the future, so to me it seems my parents are stuck in the past, when in reality they're stuck in the "now".

Azn parents that aren't stubborn or live in the past?? Dude, sign me up! :Q

EDIT: I do help my dad play with his new gadgets, like his Creative Zen, Olympus digicam, etc which I helped him buy... my mom is completely clueless.

My mom needs help just playing a DVD on their home theater(and doesn't want to learn :Q) , my dad is better(he can use his laptop and wants to learn more), but is just a slow learner, and an even slower typer. (communicating w/ him over IM is nigh impossible)

Hehe this is a funny thread.
It is just backwards at my house. I (the dad) has built all my kids machines and thus have to do all the maintenance and upgrading. My oldest is 50 and my youngest is 31. Got my first machine about 9 years ago, a Commodore 16 and it has been downhill ever since. ;)

I am 69 and trying to learn C++, pretty hard for a old guy. I do not understand why most people my age dont try and learn new things because that is what makes life exciting.
