anyone else's mouse sensitivity weird when upgrading to a 1440p screen?

I dont remember having this problem before when I was using a regular 1080p monitor. Since I switched to a 1440p monitor, my default mouse setting is almost always too fast - to the point where I dont think anyone would be able to play at that sensitive of a setting, I always have to go in game and change the setting there.

Im wondering if 1440p has anything to do with it. Is there a setting inside windows that I should adjust to fix this?

My mouse is a logitech G500. I have 3 custom levels set (I think it was the default) and the levels are: 1000,1500, and 2000. My polling rate is set at 500.

A lot of new(ish) games have mouse acceleration and I always have to turn that off myself, could that be it?

Well i have acceleration off in windows, and the most recent game in question doesnt have it as an option as far as i can tell.

Right now im playing spec ops the line, and if i move my mouse from side to side as slowly as I possibly can, the camera still jumps all over the place.

The laser is clean too btw - in the past, Ive had this happen and clean it with a q-tip solved it.

I usually play most games with an xbox controller, so it doesnt really bother me too much, but this is killing it for me.

Mine seemingly decreased, but I would imagine that is simply due to the increased screen real estate.

so after testing in a few different games - my conclusion is spec ops: the line is the problem. Even with the sensitivity turned all the way down, and on any DPI setting, it still jumped about 6 pixels for every mouse movement. The controller seems a lot smoother, and if i do finish this game, it'll be with the gamepad.

Right now I have my mouse presets at (800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600) and to be honest, in a lot of games I can barely tell the difference. I think 1000 seems like the most normal in most cases. Its just weird I dont remember having any problems before with mouse sensitivity.

EDIT: Heres a video of what im talking about. http://youtu.be/4Rt7DmNaiJY At first, im using the mouse, and trying to move it as slow as possible, but you can see it jump like 6 pixels every time. Once you see the camera shake up and down, I switch to the gamepad, and you can see how smooth and precise I can move up and down, not skipping any pixels. Not sure if its just the game or what, but the gamepad is a much better visual experience in this case.
