Anyone else's hands get really warm?

Fairly often when I get warm its especially true in my hands, enough so that even my wife notices how much warmer my hands are than my forearms or shoulder. On the plus side I find running them under cold water seems to cool down my whole body. Does seem to hold true in the winter though as they get colder faster than anywhere else

Generally, over-heating is considered a potential neurological problem, but it can also be the common condition 'Carpel Tunnel Syndrome'. This occurs when a tightening of the fibrous bands in the wrist obstruct the hand's nerve supply. A simple reflex test can be performed; tap the underside of the wrist with two fingers. If you feel an electric shock-like effect radiating into your hand then it could be that. A General Physician or physiotherapist would easily be able to diagnose this.

Research side effects of any medications you may be taking. Thebobo's post reminded me of a very good friend who underwent carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists only to have no relief from his symptoms. Eventually he found that what he was experiencing was an infrequently experienced side effect of a medication he was on.

The same thing happens to me but not with my hands. I've noticed it with my feet. Anytime my body feels over heated all I have to do is take off my socks and shoes and I my body cools down in a few minutes.

I get that with my feet, I can't be in shoes all day anymore, they get so hot it actually feels like they're on fire. I bought slippers at work so I can take them on/off easily to cool off my feet. They also don't get warm as fast in those.

I have the same issue with my hands and is much more prevalent since my last heart surgery. As mentioned above, it very well could be meds - I'm fairly certain that is my issue.

Not really, if anything my hands and feet are cold way more often than they're warm, especially my feet. I think being thin goes with that though.

My wife use to have cold hands until she started menopause. Maybe see you gynecologist?

OK, my saccadic rhythm has me heating up every night between ~8PM and 11PM. This includes me getting hot all over for the ladies.

I had to look that up...

A saccade (/sᵻˈkɑːd/ sə-KAHD, French for jerk) is a quick, simultaneous movement of both eyes between two or more phases of fixation in the same direction.[1] (For clarification, saccade movements are very fast jumps from one eye position to another whereas in smooth pursuit movements, eyes move smoothly instead of in jumps.)

I'm still not sure what you've got going on between 8 and 11 :^P

I tell you, the ladies find me hot during those hours.

My bad. Pre-coffee me isn't really allowed to be posting. I meant circadian rhythms.

I only take mometasone and it doesn't seem to be listed. It seems like its body temperature more than anything and I've had it for many years. I did try that carpal tunnel wrist tap with no issues though
