Anyone else using MSN Messenger seeing this?

I have not been able to log into MSN Messenger all day here in St. Petersburg Florida. Had problems yesterday before it came back up but so far all day not a thing.

I was able to log in a few minutes ago to discover no contacts as well - but i'm sure they'll come back. It's once again not working.

For the 99.9% of the time it works, MSNm is, IMHO, the best IM client out there.

I have had the MSN problem since this morning and I don't think it is regional..Me in S. Fl and a friend in Detriot are having the same issue.
I dont know what it is but you can bet your ass M$ boyz are working on it .

Well, since everyone's contacts disappeared, I'm sure that the server(s) that store the contacts for all their users are still down or something's not working as of yet.

At least the service is back up.

I was having problems with it since yesterday afternoon. Earlier today, something really freaky happened; I was able to get logged in, but it had my username wrong, and I had the wrong contacts list!
Anyway, then it quit working again, and just about an hour ago, I was finally able to log in right, but my contacts list was hosed, as was my friend's contact list. (btw, I'm from southern Indiana, if that makes any difference).
It wasn't too much trouble to rebuild my list (hey, there's only about 3 people on it right now ), but still, I feel sorry for those of you who had built up massive collections over time

Anyway, does anybody have any idea what is up with their servers? I personally think they might be &quot;upgrading&quot; to Windows 2000 A/S, and have fscked something up in the process

Its out on all my computers and if Msoft lost my buddy list,we are going to have words.:| Some of my buddy list is not recoverable.I had friends who are deaf and this is the only way we could comunicate. I sure can't call them up,and the only addy for them was the log on hotmail addy from the buddy list.

It's stored on their servers. It's just inaccessable at the moment.

The service is down. Hopefully they're restoring the contacts.
