Can't wait to get it.

Sure I know a few site that may no load because of ad blocking but I know it is worth the hassle.

I would white list anandtech of course then remove all the protections from the computers.

A hardware device with a $130 price-tag.

I guess if it's worth it to you, then it's . . . worth it.

On the other hand, maybe there could be ads of interest which you would miss?

Are there any other drawbacks?

My existing concerns -- despite the clutter we see on web-pages -- is SPAM. My other family members don't aggressively manage their e-mail browsers to attenuate their SPAM.

But there was a time when I got all sorts of distracting or suspicious e-mails. I can't say what I did since then, but every day's e-mail downloads now seem bereft of all that crap. Some of the crap contains malware, and I still constantly worry about the fam-damn-ily carelessly becoming the instrument of more trouble for . . . me. Because of "me" the fam-damn-ily gets free computers, free windows maintenance, server maintenance, hardware diagnostics and upgrade. Because of the fam-damn-ily, I could find myself (and currently do) with otherwise unnecessary, time-consuming work.

Adblock Plus + noscript has always worked just fine for me and those are free. But, whatever floats your boat.

I had one for a while. I was seriously annoyed with the visible latency added by the device when web browsing. Internet speed tests confirmed higher pings with the Adtrap in place. Also, setting up white lists for sites I didn't want blocked was a PITA.

As mentioned above, Adblock Plus seems to get the job done just fine - for free.
