Anyone else think the Budweiser "Real Men of Genius" series has gone downhill?

so i almost never watch television of listen to the radio, hence i don't really get too much advertising in my life :D

i was driving a friend's car this morning, and he had the radio on, so i was listening, and one of the real men of genius commercials came on, i haven't heard one in years, but it used to be stuff like "the guy who invented the coozie"or something...you know, unsung inventors and stuff(which makes sense, considering the title)

the one they played this morning was "overly competitive touch football player guy" which wasn't even funny

that's a "real man of genius" worthy of saluting?

did i just catch a really shitty one, or did they just slip into suck gradually over the years and i saw it as abrupt because i never hear them?

They've been going straight for about 5 years now (maybe more), it was only a matter of time until they ran out of good material. They got less funny after they stopped using the title, "Real American Heroes".

They have gone downhill a little, but I think a bigger reason is it's just not as fresh as it used to be.

the "gigantic cooler on wheels" or whatever one is retarded. Yes, they have gone VERY far downhill

I agree that they have gone downhill... but I also think it's getting harder for them to come up with ideas... this series of ads has been running for awhile now.

The best one I ever heard was "Mr. Giant Taco Salad Inventor". Alas, I only heard it once in 2003 and never again...

Dude...it's a fucking commercial. It started off downhill...and has only gotten worse since then...

And yes, they're really stretching lately.

and a lot less insulting. once they started being dicks about it (the touch football, rolling cooler guy and others) it stopped being as funny

The use of Budweiser and Genius in the same sentence is bad enough...
