While I have stated this many times there is no one solution because ther are so many levels of racism in many different areas.

For starters, I agree with AA. It is a step in the right direction. The problem is the way it is implemented. There is no lack of qualified minorities in any area of life, so its damn near impossible for a company to have only whites. I think more organizations need to be exposed, not necessarily for punishment, but many people change the way they do things when caught in the wrong. Education, especially in poor areas, where many blacks and poor people live needs to seriously addressed. It needs to go much deeper than what Bush has put forth, I do give him credit though, he's put forth some good starting points. First of all many of these schools don't get the better teachers because they can't pay them. This is where I think the goverment could help by providing aid to these schools so they can get better teachers. And economic growth is so important, Many of these problem areas can be changed in economic investment in these areas became a priority. Thats how I would at least start.

Blacks have the same leaders you do. Its only whites who give us these leaders. But was McVeigh your leader, how about Hale, your local KKK leader? As far as telling a group of people, its simple you can do anything in this world you want. It will be more difficult and you are sure to face opposition, but there are enough good people out there where can reach your dreams. You can come up with thousands of examples. Forget about it. It's the point that it is easy. No effort is required. It's much harder to speak with an education. That is why the younger crowd is buying into it. They don't have to answer for themselves that way. Anything that sounds cool is "all good".

I have family that live in Baltimore, about 2-3 miles from the inner harbor, all the students in Baltimore suck. None of those numbers are impressive actually. I am not surprised you think we make lousy students. As far as a rich school, I don't know if thats true or not, most of Baltimore is in very very poor shape.
