Anyone else think it sucks that you'll need Win2003 to have 64-bit windows OS?

Which Windows OS would you use on an Opteron if the other choices supported 64-bit operation? (Linux intentionally not listed on this poll).

Win9x and WinXP have no real server versions, so why bother with either of them? Windows 2000 is showing its age. Windows 2003 is the only logical choice in my opinion.

EDIT: I did not vote because of the idiotic options. The first option is a crock and shows your inability to make an unbiased poll. The lack of Unix-based OSes is a big draw back, but I understand why you did not put them in the poll. My biggest complaint (the stupidity put into the first option was not the biggest, surprised?) is the fact there is no results button, so if I had wanted to choose something other than the plainly trollish first option, I cannot.

There will be 64 bit versions of all Windows Server 2003 Editions. FYI there will be a 64 bit Windows XP once Athlon 64 is released. Microsoft has committed to it.

Do you have any idea why you'd need 64-bit apps anyway?

Luckily I'll just have to recompile anything I want to be 64-bit, since I run Linux =)

Whats your beef with 2003?

I view it as the SE to win2k (kinda like 98se was a much improved but fundamentally the same)

In that case, it'll be cool to see what they were able to improve.
