Anyone else take Ambien to help them sleep?

Can't sleep, took it over two hours ago and just feel a little sluggish but still can't sleep.

Every time I lay down and close my eyes a million thoughts just starting going through my head and I feel more awake than when my eyes were open.

I'd be kind of afraid of the effects.

I took two muscle relaxers also and those don't seem to be doing anything either.

I'm no druggie or anything FWIW, these are all prescribed to me for a back injury I received in a car accident last year.

Ever tried a bit of alcohol? Obviously don't try it now that you've taken medication...

Note: I'm not a freakin doctor so before you do, if you're on any other meds or anything at all, talk to your doc or something. I just gave an idea and nothing more.

My doc gave me ambien after my knee surgery a couple of years ago...didn't do much for me.

This happens to me every night, It sucks hard.

Sleeping pills work ok for me but I HATE the hangover I get from them. Almost better off geting no sleep.
