I've always had a shitty voice, but I didn't think I was THAT bad. I sang on Rock Band the other day and it really highlighted my shittiness.

Somehow on every fucking song I'll be at the complete opposite end of octive. Trying to correct usually ends up with me jumping into another octive but never being able to come near the note I'm aiming for.

Is there some huge secret I don't know about or what? This disability is costing me a lot of money at the bar because I need to have about 20 shots before I can even attempt kareoke.

I'm really bad at singing, I'm pretty much tone deaf so I'm always severely off key. I imagine if I practiced and took singing lessons I could end up roughly average...

I can't sing for shit! I wont' even bother trying, as I know I suck and I just can't put my friends through that, no matter how many drinks I have had. Hell, I can't stand to hear myself sing in the shower...

i'm not tone deaf, i just have like no range whatsoever.... it goes from:

low ||||||||||||||||||||||________|||||||high

that blank, underlined area is the range where most people can sing comfortably and i can't vocalize for the life of me. my mouth is open, but only a faint whisper comes out.... if i start gradually singing higher, suddenly i hit a note and can keep going higher.

I don't sing for any reason, not even Happy Birthday. You haven't heard sucktitude like I provide. I'll sing to the cats on rare occasions, but that's because I can't understand their criticism :^D

I was in a musical in 7th grade.

I played "Sir Harry" in "Once upon a Mattress"

My audition was terribly bad, but they needed more guys who were willing to humiliate themselves on stage. They cut out all my songs so I'd only have to talk.

On the other hand, I've played Rock Band once and I did surprisingly well (of course it was one easy or at most, medium).

I don't know... sometimes I think I have an ounce of singing talent. Sometimes, I just suck though. Perhaps it depends on which song I sing.

I'm not tone deaf; in fact I can pick out notes with pretty amazing accuracy. I just can't reproduce them with my voice no matter what.

In eighth grade my music teacher (was a required class) pulled me aside and said 'son, you've got a lot of heart...really you do...but you sound like a thousand cats who are dying on cue.' Then he made me his TA so he wouldn't have to listen to me ever again.
