Anyone else still have stupid childish nightmares?

This is really odd, but I was just awoken by Arnold Schwarzenegger as a T-800 chasing me and me fiancee around my home town. I was just a little kid when Terminator came out - 20 years ago. I can't believe that I had a nightmare about it now. Ugh, the wierdest thing about the dream was that I ended up hiding at Ashton Kutcher's house. I don't think he even lives in my hometown.

Heh, Ashton has Arnold come out from the back room and says "Hey, it's just Arnold, you're not REALLY running for your life!"

No, I woke up before then.

Yeah! I sometime have nightmares of doing my gf, her sister, and best friends all at the same time 😉

Seriously, I use to see a giant ball with spike chasing me all the time, but it went a way during my teenager years.

once in a while (wish it was more often) i'll dream i 'm having sex with a woman that i appear to know
then i wake up and wonder all day who i was dreamin about....

now only if that would happen every night... ahhhh

It's interesting, you have two very different ideals of manhood in your dream, 1) the hard, strong, muscular, emotionness, patriarchal asshole represented by the Terminator, and 2) the cuter, softer, more flexible, more emotionally available guy, represented by Ashton (who is in a relationship with an older woman, & apparently doesn't have the need to dominate & control the women in his life). You and your fiance are being chased by the Terminator - i.e., you two are trying to escape from this older, retrograde style of masculinity or manhood, i.e., perhaps you are trying to avoid having that old fashioned style of male-female interaction contaminate your relationship with fiance. Do you find yourself slipping into that undesirable macho mode of relating to women? Maybe that is something you are conscious of wanting to avoid with your finace? Or you two are trying to work out different ways of relating (than what you picked up from your parents). You hide out at Ashtons, I guess you can pick up a few tips on relating to women from him. 🙂

I still get a recurring dream where i go back to prison, and everybody i knew are still in there, but they won't sit or talk to me, because i lost contact since i left.

Not really. Though I have depressing and freaky dreams, like I'll kill somebody, or lots of people will die, or I get into embarassing social situations, etc.

but you're a "lifer". you should still be in prison.

Nope. Never have nightmares. Most of my dreams are pretty placid, but occasionally I'll have dreams where I end up fighting powerful monsters (e.g., creatures like the ones in the "Alien" series or a pack of huge wolves). That's not nightmarish, because in dreams I'm always indestructable and invulnerable. I don't remember ever feeling scared in a dream.

It can be frustrating, however, because sometimes it takes quite a while to defeat or kill them. (Ever had a wolf the size of a horse bite your arm and have to bang it repeatedly against the wall until it lets go while you fend off the rest of the pack with your other arm and the occasional kick? It takes longer than you might think.)

Last night I had a dream that I was a serial killer. Gruesome details.
I've been having those lately, and they are seriously disturbing. 🙁

Sure it was just a dream? How did that blood get on your sneakers this morning, anyway?

LOL

I had a dream the other night that my father died on his birthday when I forgot to call him. Some lady called me on the phone in my art class (I don't take any art classes in college) and told me he died. Later on in my dream I saw how he died... falling off a balcony of some sort... strange

btw, sorry for posting in nearly dead threads but I haven't been on in a while!

I tend to get dreams that I'm on the run from some ananonymous people, and it usually involves running through my neighborhood through houses and backyards- trying to hide or get to a car so I can get away. I don't remember ever really seeing who or what I was running from...

Arnold is 100 times more intimidating than Robert Patrick. Arnold walked into a biker bar naked, and walked out with a shotgun. The T-1000 can make his hand pointy.
