Except that they won't let you activate a Pre with SERO.

No but the new HTC Touch Pro 2 and HTC Hero coming out Oct 11th will both work with SERO :) I havent decided which of these 2 im getting yet.

I have the original HTC Touch now. I hate it but that's what I started with. I wonder if any of these new HTCs are good. The Touch Pro 2 looks nice but so did my Touch when it first came out.

both me and my wife are on the sprint sero plan. it is hard to switch from - as 30 bucks a month for 500 anytime minutes, unlimited nights and weekends (starting at 7pm), unlimited internet and txt is unheard of

We're planning to switch to t-mobile when the motorola cliq is released.
i wonder if i can sell my 2 sero plans...

My T-Mobile Prepaid costs $16/month for both the wife and me. We use MagicJack for $20/year at home. We paid $60/month for a nice AT&T cell-phone plan for a couple years, so now we're saving over $500 per year with our current setup.

The Touch Pro 2 has great reviews. So does the Hero. But with the TP2 you get a physical keyboard as well as touchscreen. With Hero its only touchscreen. Up to the individual as to which they prefer.

My phone is over 6 years old, and I'm with a contract that's less than $30 a month (a legacy Cingular contract). AT&T doesn't offer it anymore, and I'm pretty sure I'd have to switch to another (more expensive) one if I got a new phone, so.

I just upgraded to unlimited text because work required me to get server notifications. They're reimbursing me $61 a month so it makes up for it. My last job only reimbursed $30...

I am enjoying my 2 years SERO plan. November 09 will be 2 years. My bill after taxes and fees is about $34.

Speaking of SERO, any of you guys/gals have new phones that work with SERO? My Motorola Q9C battery is getting weaker afer 2 years of moderate useage.

Nopers, I JUST dumped me uber cheap TMobile plan and hoped on an AT&T iphone plan, for me and the SO. I get a decent discount, where I wasn't paying FULL price at least.

I have a $40 AT&T plan +$5 for 200 txt messages and i also get like a 25% discount through work. funny thing is though, my bill still ends up being around $44 after taxes.

Yeah, those taxes are insane. I used my iphone on TMobile a lot, and figured it was time to hop on 3G to do things quicker, and it's been worth the extra money, imo.

yup. taxes + fees add 25% to your phone bill. a $39.99 plan will cost you $50.

Prepaid FTW!

That's the cheapest monthly price I've heard of so far. I use enough minutes to warrant getting a 1000-minute card with T-Mobile for $88 every year (after a 12%-off coupon code). The minutes last for a year, and I haven't found prepaid at cheaper that 8.8 cents/minute.

SERO here as well.

One thing in the Hero's favor is that Android is way better than WinMo 6.5 (at least for personal use) - if my contract was up this year, I'd probably get the Hero.

Yeah that is the one im leaning towards as well. The sprint store here right by the Sprint Campus doesnt even have the TP2 in store yet. Maybe its only online for the first month?

metropcs. unlimited talk, unlimited txt messages, unlimited internet, no contract. $40 + ~$3 in taxes per month.

only problem is limited coverage areas for some, limited phone selection, and slow internet speeds.

I just got a call this afternoon from Verizon wireless reminding me how good a job they are doing for me.
Makes me wanna cancel right now, fucking arrogant assholes.

Seriously though, I'm gonna go back to Tracfone unless somebody offers me a reasonable data plan and dirt cheap voice plan. I only use about 30 minutes a month but I'd surf the web all day if unlimited data were better priced. Especially with Android.

Before I got my iPhone, I had Verizon's basic 450 minute cell phone plan with a big corporate discount. My average bill was about $30 a month, but I probably only actually used the phone about 5 to 10 minutes a day on average.

With the iPhone, I'm probably using about 30 minutes or more a day between the time spent checking e-mails, looking up stuff, reading the news, and streaming podcasts. Sure, now I'm paying about $80 a month now, but I now have a much more useful device in my pocket!

I'm still on an Alltel prepaid plan. $.75 a day for unlimited calls to other Alltel/Verizon mobiles, so pretty much everyone save the iPhone crowd, and unlimited texting. Works fine for me, all the phone I need for about $20 a month.
